Nigeria News

Emiliano Sala sent some hearthbreaking messages to friends while aboard missing plane, as he feared it would rip apart.

Haunting audio has been published of the Argentine attacker reportedly telling friends of his concern while in the air.

As we earlier reported, Cardiff City’s record signing, Emiliano Sala, was aboard a missing plane which disappeared from the radar above the English Channel on Monday night.

Argentine publication Ole has now released audio WhatsApp messages reportedly sent by Sala to close friends while aboard the plane.

“Hello, little brothers, how are you crazy people? Brother, I’m really tired, I was here in Nantes doing things, things, things, things and things, and it never stops, it never stops, it never stops,” Sala said in a first recording.

“I’m here on a plane that looks like it’s about to fall apart, and I’m going to Cardiff, crazy, tomorrow we already start, and in the afternoon we start training, boys, in my new team.”

A later message from the striker said: “How are you guys, all good? If you do not have any more news from in an hour and a half, I don’t know if they need to send someone to find me… I am getting scared!”

Sala completed a £15 million ($19m) move to Cardiff from Ligue 1 side Nantes on Saturday , and had travelled back to France to bid farewell to his former team-mates.

Suspect reveals what he did to stolen pants

Published

Nigeria News

A 23-year-old suspect, Opeyemi Adeleke, has revealed what he did to stolen pants to a Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun state.

Opeyemi Adeleke admitted to stealing the pants but claimed that he returned them after about five minutes, because his conscience did not allow him to rest.

According to Punch Nigeria, the suspect went to the house of one Gift Sunday located in the Agowande area of Osogbo around 1am and stole her pants, which were left to dry on the line outside.

The two counts of stealing preferred against the suspect read in part,

“That you, Opeyemi Adeleke, on Monday, January 21, 2019, around 1am in the Agowande area of Osogbo seized the pants of one Gift Sunday without her consent and for reasons best known to you.”

The prosecutor, Inspector Muslim Jafani, said the accused took the pants away, thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under sections 249 (D) and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34. Vol. II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.

When allowed to talk, the suspect admitted to stealing the pants but added that he returned them after five minutes.

“I actually stole the pants, but within five minutes, I returned them. Please pardon me,” Adeleke said.

After pleading guilty to the charges, the defence counsel, Mrs Susan Ajeigbe, pleaded for Adeleke’s bail and promised to always present him for trial.

The presiding magistrate, Modupe Awodele, in her ruling, ordered that the accused be remanded in the Ilesha Prison and adjourned the case till February 2, 2019, for ruling on the bail application.
