My family has been Members of Nigeria’s ruling Elite for 4 Generations – FFK

The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has he will not be intimidated by ill-bred peasants or any man born of a woman, as his family has been members of Nigeria’s ruling elite for four generations.

FFK as he is popularly called said on Twitter Tuesday morning, he is not a member of resistance, but that he is resistance, born to lead, to resist evil, to fight tyranny, to speak truth to power and to stand up for the oppressed.

“My family have been members of Nigeria’s ruling elite for 4 generations. I cannot be silenced or intimidated by a coven of ill-bred peasants or any man born of woman. I was born to lead, to resist evil, to fight tyranny, to speak truth to power and to stand up for the oppressed.

No matter what price I have to pay I will play my role and not shy sway from my duty. To me it is not a matter of mere politics but a matter of honor. I will make any sacrifice and move any mountain to deliver our nation from the accursed plague with which she has been afflicted.

I am FFK. I am not a member of the resistance: I AM THE RESISTANCE!” He tweeted.

EFCC denies raiding, arresting Atiku’s Sons

EFCC speaks on raid on Atiku's sons' apartment

We have received several calls and email messages asking us to confirm the arrest of the sons of the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as being alleged in some quarters. Some only said we raided the apartments of Atiku’s sons looking for foreign currencies. This is nothing but another tales by moonlight.

It is in the news that we have been investigating the former Abia governor, Senator Theodore Orji over alleged N27 Billion Naira money laundering. In the course of investigation, we discovered that he laundered part of the money through his sons. We have been on the trail of some of the purchases made by his son including the cars the boys allegedly bought.

Last Friday, we traced one of the cars to a Nite Club in Abuja. In order not to cause panic, we waited until the business of the club was over and when the owner of the suspected car came to enter to take off, we arrested him and his friend who has a similar brand of car. That was about 5am on Saturday, December 8, 2018.

The two boys we arrested were Ogbonna Orji, 32, and Kelvin Ilonah. While Orji’s Car, a Range Rover is valued at about N100 million, Ilonah’s car also a Range Rover, is valued at about N35 Million.

In the course of further interrogation, the two boys led us to their apartment, three flats, and documents retrieved from the apartment showed it was rented for N13 million each per annum.

Another brand new Prado Jeep, a 2017 model was recovered from the boys in the compound. The two boys in question gave useful information to the Commission which is helping in our further investigation.

The EFCC, as a responsible organisation is abreast of the establishment mandate and we shall not deviate from such mandate.

We never went after Atiku’s sons neither were Atiku’s sons among the two boys arrested. There is no link whatsoever to Atiku.

Only last week, the people’s Democratic Part, PDP was alleged to have raised alarm that the Commission blocked and or freeze the accounts of the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, Peter Obi. Again, this was another lie which we immediately punctured as there was no truth in it whatsoever, to the accusation. Till now, only silence has prevailed from the camp of the accusers.

Kogi East 2019: Fresh crisis as Kogi Christian elders in Kaduna endorse Attai Aidoko

Fresh crisis looms in Kogi State as information filtering in from the political circle in the state revealed that the current senator representing Kogi East Senatorial District at the red chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Attai Aidoko has been unanimously endorsed by Kogi Christian Elders Forum in Kaduna State ahead of the 2019 elections.
This is coming after the Elders’ Forum advised all the other candidates including Dr. Victor Adoji and Comrade Amade Edime to step down for Senator Aidoko.

The elders, led by their leader,Engineer Samuel Salihu took time to understand and leverage the advantages of Aidoko’s ranking in the Senate and the possibility of he becoming the next senate president. They argued that this was not an opportunity the Igala nation should lose or sacrifice for the lower ambitions of the other candidates. Even more, the elders’ group is said to be very impressed by Senator Aidoko’s achievement for the 16 years he has been at the National Assembly.

This newspaper, however, further gathered that the decision is said not to have gone down well with the Elders Forum in Kogi State as they have rejected the decision of their counterpart in Kaduna State, stressing that they (Kaduna Elders) do not have an idea of what the Christians in Kogi East are going through.

A meeting of all the Christian elders in Kaduna to formally endorse Senator Aidoko has been slated to hold on December 17th in Ankpa. The meeting will be preceded by a prior meeting on Tuesday, December 11th purposely to inform the Kogi East Christian clerics of the decision reached by the group.
Already, there is a reconciliation committee put in place to mitigate the outcome of any likely negatives from this decision.
