Boxer beats a Woman to coma in Kaduna

Four tenants in court for allegedly exhuming landlord’s corpse, selling his property

 

A popular Hausa traditional boxer, Abdur-Rasaq Ahmed, on Wednesday appeared before  a Chief Magistrates’ Court I, sitting at Chediya, GRA Zaria, Kaduna State, for allegedly beating up a woman to a state of coma.

Ahmed, popularly called “Ebola” , who resides at No. 230 Lafiya Road, Kawo, Kaduna is charged with assault and causing grievous hurt.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Mansir Nasir, told the court that the Ebola, beat up one Farida Mohammed to a state of comma at the Gidan Dambe, Sabongari, Zaria on March 23.

Nasir said after the police got the information from a “Good Samaritan”, on reaching the scene at about 9 p.m. Mohammed was found unconscious and was immediately rushed to hospital for medication.

The prosecutor added that Mohammed was unconscious for two days before regaining her consciousness.

He said the accused was charged for causing grievous hurt contrary to section 224 of criminal procedure code (CPC) of Kaduna State.

However, Counsel to the accused, Gabriel Attah, filed a formal application for bail.

The judge, Chief Magistrate Abubakar Aliyu-Lamido admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N1 million with one surety in the sum of N500,000.

Aliyu-Lamido adjourned the case until April 17 for further mentioning.

Lady Gabriella Windsor weds Prince Michael of Kent (Photos)

Lady Gabriella Windsor and Prince Michael of Kent have walked down the aisle on Saturday, may 18th. Lady Gabriella is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, while Prince Michael is Her Majesty The Queen’s cousin.

Lady Gabriella’s wedding dress was a bespoke design by Luisa Beccaria. It was made of lace, embroidered with flowers and embellishments. Its blush shade came from layers of tulle and organdie beneath the lace, which created the body of the gown. The skirts fanned out into a long train. Her veil was made from layers of white tulle, together with embroidered flowers.

The Bridesmaid and Pageboy outfits were also designed by Luisa Beccaria. Bridesmaids wore cream dresses with blush underlays and sashes, with flower rings in their hair to echo the bridal bouquet. Pageboys wore cream shirts and knickerbockers. Their shoes were by Papouelli.

Lady Gabriella wore a Russian Fringe style diamond tiara also worn by her grandmother, HRH Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, and her mother, HRH Princess Michael of Kent, on their wedding days.

Lady Gabriella’s bouquet featured a creamy ivory ‘Ella’ rose by David Austin, named for the bride, and myrtle, which has formed part of many Royal wedding bouquets in a tradition started by Queen Victoria. Other flowers incorporated included Juliet roses, Lily of the Valley and white and apricot sweet peas.

The Bridal Party

Mr Kingston’s Best Men were Mr Benjamin Crow, Mr Daniel Crow and Mr Jamie Campbell.

The Bridesmaids were Miss Isabella Windsor, Miss Maud Windsor, Miss Leonora Weisman, Miss Aurelia del Drago, Miss Eliza Goldsmith and Miss Emily Conolly.

The Pageboys were Master Frederick Murray, Master Rafferty Murray and Master Karim Khawaja.

Miss Estella Taylor, Miss Jessie Conolly and Miss Hannah Conolly were Special Attendants.

Nigerian Lady, Morolake Hycinthia arrested for fraud in U.S

A Nigerian Youtuber and Verified Domestic Violence advocate, Morolake Hycinthia, has been arrested for fraud in the U.S.

The 24-year-old suspect was apprehended on May 4, 2019.

She is currently being held for possessing another person’s identity, identity fraud, and knowingly using false financial information.

Her bail has been set for $20,000 for one of the charges.
