AGN Members visit Saraki, introduce AGN Foundation

Members of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, recently paid a courtesy visit on Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to formally introduce the AGN Foundation. The foundation is set up to cater for ailing members.

Saraki pledged to assist the Actors Guild of Nigeria Foundation, disclosing that he would soon make a case for the movie industry at the National Assembly.

He made the promise when members of the association led by its President, Emeka Rollas paid him a courtesy visit in Lagos.

Saraki, who described actors and actresses “as great ambassadors of Nigeria”, stated that they deserved to be encouraged and supported.

The Senate President described the current situation where the practitioners are not given the necessary environment to operate as unacceptable, pledging to, “initiate all necessary legislative framework towards making this a reality”.

He added: “I commend the association for putting Nigeria on the global map of entertainment through various movies which has received global acceptance.

“The welfare of its members should be a priority of any government in power”.

In his address, Rollas explained that the N500m foundation was set up because of the various misfortunes that have faced its members in the past few years.

He lamented that some colleagues died in penury or due to inadequate funds to take care of their medical bills.

Rollas, who said an insurance scheme has been put in place to handle certain challenges listed Enebeli Elebuwa, Justus Esiri, Arshely Nwosu, Dave lhesie, Sam Loco Efe, Muna Obiekwe, Peter Bunor, Prince James Uche among others as those have been lost due to certain medical conditions.

In his remarks, Segun Arinze thanked the Senate President for his kind donation of N5m to the foundation.

In attendance were past AGN Presidents, Ejike Asiegbu, Zack Orji, BOT Chairman, Ifeanyi Dike, Zik Zulu Okafor, Chinwetalu Agu, Monalisa Chinda Coker, Lilian Bach, Ayo Mogaji, Ronnie Diko and a host of others.

Nigerian lady advises women to allow their husbands cheat

A Nigerian lady has shcoked many social media users, after she advised women to allow their husbands cheat and have sex outside marriage.

The young lady shared a video advising Nigerian women to allow their husbands have sex outside marriage with concubines, slay mamas and slay queens.

The video was then shared by Wale Gates on Twitter, who wrote;

The lady said that it is safe for women not to know if their husbands or boyfriends cheat, as they can’t stop him. See what she said below;

JAMB closes sales of 2019 UTME forms

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has closed the sale of the 2019 UTME registration forms.

The board’s Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin revealed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

Dr Fabian Benjamin said that the sales of the forms ended on Thursday, though online registration was still ongoing. He said;

This is because some people earlier bought e-pins for the exams but were unable to register before now, so we are monitoring them online and would avail them the opportunity to register.

Therefore, we cannot give the exact figure of the registered candidates for now until this is over.

He added that the registration would continue until the board decides.

On the issue of rescheduled dates for both the mock and main examinations, Benjamin said that the board was yet to decide on a new date but would give updates as soon as possible.
