The first Military Administrator of Jigawa state, Olayinka Sule has died at the age of 72.
His death was confirmed by former Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido, in a statement from his media aide, Mansur Ahmad.
Lamido described Sule, who died on Sunday, as a great pillar and gentleman.
Sule ruled Jigawa for four months, until he handed over to the first elected governor of the state, Sa’ad Birnin-Kudu back in January 1992.
